KSANYA DENISE HIDLEBAUGH With friends and family at her side, Ksanya passed away peacefully on July 13, 2005 at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 28, after a brief and courageous battle with leukemia. Left to mourn her loss her soulmate Geoff McCulloch, mother Joy Weizel, sister Rachael Hidlebaugh, father Ron Hidlebaugh, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family. Ksanya recently graduated from the Faculty of Arts, University of Manitoba, with a passionate desire to become a teacher professionally. Although the opportunity to realize this dream was taken, her teaching will continue through the people she has touched because of her enthusiastic love and passion for life. Ksanya's other passions included her love of dance, reading and bunnies to name a few. A Celebration of Ksanya's life will take place Tuesday July 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the Winnipeg Christian Centre at 230 Provencher Blvd. Her family and friends would like to extend their love and appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Leukemia Ward and ICU of Health Sciences Centre for the care and compassion shown to Ksanya and her family during her difficult battle. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Cancer Care Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.

I had the pleasure of working with Ksanya for one and a half years, but we had the opportunity to talk on several occasions. Ksanya’s passion for people showed in her willingness to listen to others, and in her willingness to help others. She also spoke with excitement when she talked about her plans of starting her career as a teacher. I want to express my sympathies to her family and friends. She will always be remembered. God Bless. ~ Jeanne Beaulieu - Posted by: Jeanne Beaulieu (Co-Worker) on: Jul 18, 2005

I only had the privledge of knowing Ksanya for about 10 months, but we became good friends at Jazz class. She always spoke very dearly of Geoff, her immediate family & her cousin who lives near Selkirk/Lockport. She seemed very passionate about people & activities she loved. I want to express my deepest sympathy to her family. I will miss her very very much. ~Lesley Procter - Posted by: Lesley Procter (Friend) on: Jul 16, 2005
